The SilenCircleTM RNAi system, protected under US patents 7,294,504 and 7,422,896, was invented by Allele scientists in 2001. In addition to its proven high efficiency, accuracy, and low cost, the SilenCircleTM system has a major advantage over other shRNA plasmid vectors:

- Fluorescent Protein Based RNAi Validation System (Service Available)

The RNAi machinery degrades cognate target mRNA. The immediate assessment of RNAi effects is typically performed by reverse transcription and quantitative, real-time PCR (qPCR). To perform a qPCR assay, total cellular RNA or polyA-containing mRNA will need to be isolated, converted into cDNA by reverse transcription, and amplified and analyzed by using a real time PCR machine. The effectiveness of RNAi can also be evaluated by analyzing the level of protein of the target gene.
